Ohio Accused Rapist Allegedly Lived Under Teen’s Bed For Weeks, Took Nude Photos Of Her
Jaret Wright allegedly lived under the victim’s bed for three weeks before he was discovered by the girl’s mother earlier this month.
An Ohio man has been charged with rape earlier this month after apparently living under his alleged victim's bed for weeks and sexually assaulting the teenager.
Jaret Wright, 20, lived underneath the victim’s bed in the girl’s family home in Cincinnati for three weeks before he was discovered by her mother, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.
Wright, who is from Barberton, met the victim, who is between 13 and 18 years old, on Instagram, the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed, according to the Journal’s report. During Wright’s time at her home, he held her down and raped her, according to the outlet. He is also alleged to have taken nude photographs of the victim, whose name has not been released in accordance with laws regarding minor victims of sex crimes.
While the victim was aware that Wright was living in her room, the girl’s mother was not. It is unclear how she came to find out he was in the house, the Beacon Journal reports.
Authorities have not said whether Wright was in any sort of relationship with the victim or if he’d been initially invited to live in the room, according to the Associated Press.
Wright faces charges that include three counts of rape and one count of illegally using a minor in a nudity-oriented material, online jail records show. He has been in custody at the Hamilton County Justice Center since March 13. His bond is set at $50,000.
It is currently unclear if Wright has retained an attorney who can speak on his behalf. The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Oxygen.com.
