OnlyFans Model Charged In Boyfriend's Murder Was Recorded Hurling Racial Slurs, Berating Him
Courtney Clenney, charged with the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, was also secretly recorded hurling racial slurs at him, as well as engaging in other abusive behaviors, before his deadly stabbing.
A popular OnlyFans model charged with the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend was recorded, mostly in audio form, in the weeks before his death hurling racial slurs, screaming and cursing at him, according to multiple media outlets.
Christian “Toby” Obumseli made the secret recordings of his troubling interactions with Courtney Clenney with a cellphone hidden in a pocket, according to the Miami Herald. He is frequently heard in the recordings apologizing.
In one of the recordings, Clenney appears to become angry after Obumseli failed to tell her that he said hello to another woman while on a bicycle ride.
“You talked to her without telling me!” Clenney screams at Obumseli. She later adds: “Shut up and let me slap you, dumba**” as he repeatedly apologizes, multiple media outlets reported.
He begs her to calm down and said: “You’re going to get this mad at me when I’m apologizing to you?”
Obumseli also said: “My bad I forgot to tell you that. That doesn’t make you to act and call me a f***ing [n-word], the New York Post reported
She reportedly said in response, “you’re a [n-word].” She then yells and orders him to “Find my f***ing phone and charge it!”
In another one of Obumseli’s recordings, the couple is arguing in the lobby of their apartment building.
“Decide if you’re done gaslighting me. Decide right now,” Clenney said according to the Daily Beast.
“Courtney, that’s a f***ing threat, I asked you something,” Obumseli responded, the Daily Beast reported. “I don’t know, and I apologized, but you hit me.”
Clenney then reportedly whispered , “Shut the f*** up, bitch.”
In yet another disturbing recording reported by the Daily Beast, Clenney apparently leaves the car in which they are traveling during an argument, and Obumseli follows, begging her to get back inside the vehicle.
Clenney then appears to be having a conversation with another man — not seen in the video — who stopped and was apparently worried about her mental state; he apparently saw her banging her head. She suggests that the argument with Obumseli started after she got into a fight with another driver.
Clenney can then be heard screaming at her boyfriend, while he and the man both try to calm her down.
“F*** you! No, you make yourself look good in front of people!” Clenney screamed. Obumseli apologized and said, “It’s my fault.”
They reportedly got back in the car and continued to insult Obumseli. Then the sound of slapping can be heard.
“Stop hitting me!” Obumseli reportedly cried out.
Prosecutors claim these recordings, among others, shed a disturbing light into what friends, acquaintances and the prosecution have described as toxic and tumultuous two-year relationship.
Clenney’s attorneys, Frank Prieto and Puglisi, told the Daily Beast that “snapshots of ‘evidence’ without any context will prevent our client from receiving a fair trial, where the evidence will show that Courtney acted in self-defense.”
They agreed, however, that “the evidence makes it very clear the two were in a toxic and dysfunctional relationship," but claimed it was one "from which Courtney had asked for help from both police and her family to leave.”

“She is going to trial for defending herself against a violent struggle with her ex-boyfriend for which she feared for her life," they added. "Courtney is a victim of domestic abuse.”
Larry Handfield, the attorney representing Obumseli’s family, told the Miami Herald that he was shocked by the recordings.
“I found the audio to be shocking,” he said. “I know it’s going to be very, very painful when [his relatives] hear this ... I see it as a consistent pattern with someone who is unhinged and out of control. She is the aggressor and abuser in this whole relationship.”
Clenney’s attorneys have claimed that she acted in self-defense on the night that Obumseli was killed in their upscale Miami-area apartment complex. She said that they had broken up before his death and that he was stalking her.
Prosecutors have painted a picture of Obumseli, a cryptocurrency trader, as the victim in an abusive relationship.
In addition to the recordings Abumseli made, prosecutors have released elevator surveillance video showing Clenney attacking Obumseli, as well as police body camera footage of Clenney taken in the lobby of the couple’s apartment building as police responded to a domestic dispute call shortly before his death. She is seen in the video asking police for a restraining order against him.
The Miami Herald reported that she later sent an email to the building management downplaying the incident.
“It’s very clear from the video she looks upset. She’s emotional. She’s crying. She’s upset that she can’t even walk her dogs all day for fear of being followed by Obumseli,” Sabrina Puglisi, one of Clenney’s attorneys told the Herald last month.
