Model Christy Giles' Husband Speaks Out After Three Arrested In Connection With Her Mysterious Death

The husband of model and actor Christy Giles is speaking out following the arrest of three men in connection with her and her friend’s suspicious deaths.

"I sighed a sigh of relief," Jan Cilliers told People in a Friday report. "But I also understand that this is just the beginning of the battle. There's going to be a lot of stuff to get through in order to get these guys in prison.”

On Thursday, the Los Angeles Police Department announced they have arrested three men in connection with the November deaths of Giles, 24, and her friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola. David Pearce, 37, has been arrested for manslaughter and is being held on $1 million bail. Michael Ansbach, 47, and Brandt Osborn, 42, were both arrested for accessory to manslaughter. Both are being held on $100,000 bail.

Giles' body had been left outside a hospital in Culver City on Nov. 13. That same night, aspiring architect Cabrales-Arzola, 26, had also been dumped outside a hospital. She was unconscious but still alive when she was left outside of Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles. However, she was later declared brain dead and two weeks later, her family took her off life support.

The two friends had reportedly gone to a warehouse party where a man invited them to an after party in the Hollywood Hills. It was there where investigators believe that the women were possibly drugged.

Giles’ husband is now vowing to get justice.

"I know that I have to be strong, and I'm going to do everything that I can to make sure that my wife gets the justice she deserves, even though no amount of justice is ever going to bring her back to life, and she's still going to be gone," Cilliers, 41, told People. "But hopefully, it stops these guys from doing anything else to any other woman."

The LAPD said this week that there could be other victims in the area who were possibly “drugged by one or more of these men.”

They also said that the three men wore masks and drove a Toyota Prius with no license plates.

“We definitely think that there are other victims out there. And we'd love for them to come forward and just add their voices to this case, to help get these guys off the street," Cilliers told People. "And that stops these guys from being able to victimize any other woman."

He and Giles began dating on Valentine’s Day in 2019. They eloped six months later.

"I've never felt love so deeply, and I doubt I ever will again. She's a really incredible, incredible human," Cilliers told People.
