‘Kiss My Ass,’ Britney Spears Posts Cryptic Messages And Is Spotted Driving With Boyfriend
Weeks after telling a judge she wants to be able to go for a drive for her boyfriend, Britney Spears is spotted at the wheel alongside her beau Sam Asghari.
In possible acts of rebellion against her conservatorship, Britney Spears has posted several assertive messages on her Instagram over the past few days and she’s been spotted driving with her boyfriend.
“There’s nothing worse than when the people closest to you who never showed up for you post things in regard to your situation whatever it may be and speak righteously for support … there’s nothing worse than that !!!!” the 39-year-old pop icon posted on Saturday. “How dare the people you love the most say anything at all … did they even put a hand out to even lift me up at the TIME !!!??? How dare you make it public that NOW you CARE … did you put your hand out when I was drowning ???? Again … NO … so if you’re reading this and you know who you are … and you actually have the nerve to say anything about my situation just to save face for yourself publicly !!!”
While she did not specify who she was referring to, many fans speculated on social media that she was referring to her little sister Jamie Lynn Spears, who has publicly claimed to be supportive of Britney following her sibling's explosive court hearing last month. During that court appearance, Britney condemned her family for not supporting her and said she feels her father Jamie Spears, who has had much control over her conservatorship over the years, should be in jail. Last week, as a judge granted her the right to choose her own attorney, she said she wants her dad charged with conservatorship abuse.
Fueling more rumors that Britney was referencing her sister, she called out Jamie Lynn specifically in a Sunday Instagram post. Alongside a meme that said “kiss my ass,” she wrote, "I don't like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!! My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!! This conservatorship killed my dreams ..”
Also on Sunday, Britney posted a cryptic message “May the Lord wrap your mean ass up in joy today .... PS RED” along with a video of her dancing while wearing a red top.
Sunday appeared to be a day of possible pushback against the conservatorship for Britney. Her boyfriend Sam Asghari uploaded a video to his Instagram stories that appeared to show the “Overprotected” singer at the wheel of a car, PageSix reports. The couple blasted “Lonely” — a Britney Spears song — as they went for a drive.
During Britney’s hearing last week, which marked the first time she spoke publicly about the conservatorship, she complained that she’s not allowed to go for a drive with her boyfriend.
Furthermore, she claimed that she has been forced to work and perform against her will while ill, pushed into a mental health facility as punishment for not wanting to do a specific dance move, and forced to take lithium. She said she is not allowed to marry her partner or have another child, claiming her conservators won’t allow her to have her IUD removed.
The conservatorship, largely maintained by her father Jamie Spears, was instituted by a court in 2008 not long after Spears endured what appeared to be a mental health crisis that played out in the tabloids.
“My dad needs to be removed today,” Britney herself said via phone in court last Wednesday. She wrote the slogan #FreeBritney on Instagram following that appearance, thus invoking the phrase her supporters have used as they push for an end to her conservatorship.
