Ex-Oklahoma Track Coach Arrested For Allegedly Raping Teen At His Home While Wife, Daughter Were Traveling
Brandon Neal, a 34-year-old former teacher at Broken Arrow High School, has been charged with second-degree rape and sexual battery
A former Oklahoma track coach and teacher was arrested for allegedly raping a high school student at his home while his wife and daughter were away more than two years ago, according to reports.
Broken Arrow High School teacher Brandon Neal, 34, has been charged with second-degree rape and sexual battery, local news outlet KRMG reported.
According to court documents, Neal and the teenage victim, who also attended Broken Arrow High School, began a relationship in December 2019. The following month the teen victim and her mother reported Neal’s conduct to the Broken Arrow Police Department, KOTV-DT reported. The girl disclosed she and Neal regularly communicated on Snapchat.
The juvenile victim and Neal, however, both later denied the illicit relationship. The teenage victim ultimately refused to allow police to search her phone. Neal, however, turned his phone over to authorities in January 2020. He resigned the same day, according to KOTV-DT. Police, who later secured a search warrant for the teen victim’s mobile device, paused the investigation in April 2020 after no evidence of inappropriate conduct was found.
In May 2021, the teen reapproached authorities and allegedly admitted to a sexual relationship with Neal that spanned from December 2019 to January 2020. The unidentified victim confessed to having “burned everything” from her Snapchat account, per KOTV-DT.
In Dec. 2019, the teen alleged Neal molested her while adjusting her on a table at Masters Fitness gym in Bixby. At a later date, on Dec. 26, she said she and Neal had sex at his house. His wife and daughter weren’t home at the time, according to KMRG.
Neal was booked into Tulsa County jail on Friday and was later freed on a $100,000 bond. He’s pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Per his bond conditions, Neal is barred from personal training, providing physical therapy and is prohibited from being employed by any gym or fitness facility. A judge also ordered he have no contact with the victim, according to KRMG.
