Angela Kukawski, Business Manager To The Stars, Found Murdered In California
Angela Kukawski, whose clientele included the Kardashians and Nicki Minaj, was reportedly found dead in the trunk of her car.
A business manager with a celebrity clientele was found murdered in California, according to police.
Angela Kukawski was found dead in her parked car on Dec. 23 when police officers conducted a follow-up on a missing persons case, according to an LAPD news release. Kukawski was reported missing from Sherman Oaks a day prior.
On Wednesday, authorities announced that Kukawski’s boyfriend, 49-year-old Jason Barker, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He is currently being held at the Van Nuys Jail, where the District Attorney’s Office formally charged him with murder.
Barker was also charged with torture, according to the LA Times. The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office stated Kukawski died from sharp and blunt force injuries to her head and neck, as well as strangulation.
“Detectives believe that Barker killed the victim in their Sherman Oaks residence, placed her inside her vehicle, and drove to Simi Valley,” the LAPD stated in the release.
LAPD officials stated the victim’s body was discovered in the trunk of the car in the 1500 block of Patricia Avenue in Simi Valley, according to local reports.
Citing a criminal complaint obtained by the Times, prosecutors believe Barker killed Kukawski sometime between Dec. 21 and Dec. 22.
Kukawski, 55, also known as Angela Castro, worked for Boulevard Management in Woodland Hills, according to Variety. The mother of five worked with an A-list clientele, and once boasted business relations with the Kardashians, Nicki Minaj, and Kanye West. The Boulevard Management firm specializes in financial consultation, tax planning, and other business dealings.
“We are saddened and heartbroken by the loss of our colleague, Angie Kukawski,” the firm said in a statement to Variety. “Angie was a kind, wonderful person, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Our deepest condolences go out to all of Angie’s family and friends.”
According to jail records, Barker is being held on $3.07 million bail and scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 12, 2022.
