Alex Murdaugh broke down in tears Thursday in court as law enforcement officials took the stand to describe the grisly details surrounding the murders or Paul and Maggie Murdaugh.
“I am heartbroken because I trusted her,” Xana Kernodle's mom said after learning public defender Anne Taylor dropped her unrelated legal case to represent Bryan Kohberger.
“We are grieving the sudden and tragic loss of our sister, Madison Brooks, following the accident that took her life,” the Alpha Phi sorority said of 19-year-old Brooks, who was struck and killed Jan. 16 after being dropped off by her alleged rapists.
While prosecutors said evidence discovered at the crime scene points to Alex Murdaugh as the killer, his defense attorneys contend he was a "loving husband and doting father."
Justin Roiland, who co-created the popular Adult Swim series "Rick and Morty," has been accused of inflicting “corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition” upon a woman he was dating in January 2020, leading to the criminal charges against him.
Others on the list of potential witnesses include Alex Murdaugh’s brothers Randy and John Murdaugh, his former housekeeper’s son Tony Satterfield, former coworkers at his law firm and Curtis Edward Smith, the man accused of helping Murdaugh in a botched assisted suicide attempt.
An attorney representing Rust Movie Productions LLC, said on-set safety supervisors will be on hand and the use of "working weapons or any ammunition" will be barred in an attempt to improve the film's safety conditions following Halyna Hutchins tragic 2021 death.
