Quinton Tellis, suspect in the murder of Mississippi teen Jessica Chambers, offered an alibi around the time of the crimethat involves another woman.

Quinton Tellis is also a suspect in the murder of a woman named Ming-Chen Hsiao.

After hours of deliberation, a jury could not unanimously determine the guilt of Quinton Tellis in a retrial.

The retrial of Quentin Tellis, who has been accused of burning Jessica Chambers alive, will proceed as planned on September 24. 

District Attorney John Champion vehemently denies any wrongdoing. 

Tellis claims the two had sex in Chambers' car. Prosecutors say they never had sex, but "something happened inside that car to where he rendered her unconscious." 

As part of court proceedings, the 29-year-old defendent visited a string of locations in the small Mississippi town where 19-year-old Jessica Chambers was burned alive.
