"I think his hobbies right now are reading books, reading his discovery, sleeping and watching TV inside of his cell," a sheriff revealed of the man who is accused of serial killings on Long Island.
Rex Heuermann was formally charged with killing Maureen Brainard-Barnes, months after being labeled the prime suspect in her death when he was arrested in July in the deaths of three other women.

James Burke, who served as Suffolk County police chief from 2012 to 2015, was once the lead investigator on the infamous Gilgo Beach murders case, which he’d been accused of mishandling prior to his resignation.
“He’s somebody that was still engaging in activity that was disturbing, be it his internet searches, be it engaging in other activities that he shouldn’t be engaging in," Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison said.
