Jussie Smollett's attorneys are reportedly hoping to get his case dismissed.

Jussie Smollett claimed he was brutally attacked by two men shouting homophobic and racist slurs at him, but the veracity of his story was soon questioned.

Actor Jussie Smollett has now been indicted on six counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly staging an attack and filing multiple false reports.

“I just wanted you all to see it,” Smollett can be heard saying after an officer asks if he’d like to take the noose off.

The text messages reveal Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx continued to be looped in about the Jussie Smollett case even after she had recused herself. 

City officials are seeking $130,000 from the "Empire" star, who they say falsely claimed to have been the victim of a homophobic and racist attack.

Jussie Smollett may be heading to court again, if Chicago city officials have their way.

The city is accusing the actor of “diverting resources from other investigations and undermining the criminal justice system.”
