The U.S. Department of Justice has determined that there is not enough evidence to prove that Rusten Sheskey used excessive force or violated Jacob Blake's federal rights.

Rusten Sheskey, who had been on administrative leave since the August 2020 shooting, won’t be disciplined in the case, according to Kenosha Police.

The teen is accused of killing two people and wounding a third during a protest against police brutality in Kenosha in August.

Jacob Blake has been paralyzed from the waist down since being shot multiple times by a police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

“Your legs, something that you need to move around and forward in life, can be taken from you like this, man,” the currently paralyzed Jacob Blake said in a video posted on social media.

“My son is fighting for his life," Jacob Blake Sr. said. "He's holding on."
