Police have named Gabby Petito’s boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, as a person of interest in the case after he returned to Florida in the van the couple was driving on a cross-country trip on Sept. 1 without her.

Investigators are not ruling out any possible connection between the shooting deaths of Kylen Schulte and Crystal Turner and the disappearance of Gabby Petito.

Police said a concerned party called 911 on Aug. 12 after seeing the pair "arguing over a phone" outside a Moab, Utah cooperative.

Police in Moab, Utah said that neither Gabrielle Petito nor Brian Laundrie were the reporting party for the Aug. 12 incident, though they released few other details about the encounter.
