Miranda Baker said a man she believes was Brian Laundrie offered to pay $200 for a ride in Wyoming, about four days after Gabby Petito's last known contact with family, but then “freaked out” and demanded out of the vehicle.
Authorities are still searching for Brian Laundrie, who is a person of interest in his girlfriend Gabby Petito's disappearance during a cross-country trip they were on.
Remains likely belonging to Gabby Petito were discovered in Wyoming's Grand Teton National Park as her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, a person of interest in her disappearance, remains missing in Florida.
The FBI announced Sunday that they believed they had found the remains of 22-year-old Gabby Petito in Grand Teton National Park, while her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, a person of interest in her disappearance, remains missing in Florida.
“Full forensic identification has not been completed to confirm 100% that we found Gabby, but her family has been notified,” FBI Supervisory Special Agent Charles Jones said. “This is an incredibly difficult time for (Petito’s) family and friends.”
Kylen Schulte and Crystal Turner were found slain at a campsite in Moab, Utah, where Gabby Petito and boyfriend Brian Laundrie got into a dispute that prompted a 911 call.
Brian Laundrie’s family contacted law enforcement and said they haven’t seen him since Tuesday, as the investigation into his girlfriend Gabby Petito’s disappearance continues.
“We beg you to tell us. As a parent, how could you let us go through this pain and not help us," Gabby Petito's parents wrote in an emotional letter to Brian Laundrie's parents.
