The jury apparently believed prosecutors, who arguedthe three officers “chose to do nothing” as Derek Chauvin squeezed the life out of George Floyd.

Jury deliberations began deliberating Wednesday in the trial against 3 former police officers for violating George Floyd's civil rights.

"When we hear the name of Ahmaud Arbery, we will now hear and think of change," his mother, Wanda Cooper-Jones, said. 

Former officer Brett Hankison fired 10 shots near a door during the raid at Breonna Taylor's residence and shot into the neighboring apartment where a family lived. 

Former Minneapolis police officers J. Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao are charged with violating George Floyd's civil rights.

Prosecutor Manda Sertich singled out each former Minneapolis officer in George Floyd's civil rights trial, stating that they did nothing as a man was dying "right before their eyes."

Greg and Travis McMichael, along with William Bryan, were found guilty of targeting Ahmaud Arbery because he was Black and violating his civil rights. 

Closing arguments in the federal hate crimes trial against Greg and Travis McMichael and William Bryan are scheduled for Monday after the men called a single witness in their defense.
