Chronic traumatic encephalopathy is a degenerative brain disease found in athletes, military veterans, and other people who have suffered a history of repetitive brain trauma.

Shayanna Jenkins gave birth to a baby girl in Rhode Island. The father is Dino Guilmette, an amateur boxer.

Shayanna Jenkins had her first child, Avielle Janelle Jenkins-Hernandez, with the former NFL star.

He was convicted in 2015 of illegally shipping guns to former football star Aaron Hernandez. 

The special was filled with startling disclosures.

"I was confused. I still kind of am,” said Shayanna Jenkins.

"He admitted to being molested as a kid, but he never dealt with it. And it led to issues in his sexuality," Alyssa Anderson told "Aaron Hernandez Uncovered."

"My initial reaction when I found out Aaron had committed suicide was [...] one of shock," said Jose Baez.

Aaron Hernandez had "the most severe case" of CTE researchers had ever seen in someone his age.

“You have always been my soul-mate," he wrote.
