America's Next Top Model is a reality television show in which 14 women compete for the title of America's Next Top Model and a grand prize, including a contract with Ford Models, a spread in Elle magazine, and a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl.
The participants live together in a New York City loft, and are frequently given challenges to model in new and interesting ways that will be judged by a panel of industry experts. The show was created and is hosted by television personality, former supermodel and current talk-show host, Tyra Banks, who also serves as the head judge and executive producer of the show. Other judges have included British photographer Nigel Barker, runway coach J. Alexander, makeup artist/photographer/model Jay Manuel, and supermodels Paulina Porizkova, Twiggy, and Janice Dickinson
