Small Town Alabama Mom Who Was A Secret Online Adult Model Found Murdered
The mother and wife was found dead and partially nude outside her own home.
A mother from Calera, Alabama who worked as an adult model has been found murdered outside her own home. The body of Kathleen West, 42, was found by her neighbor around 5 a.m. Saturday, WIAT-TV reports. She was discovered partially nude, according to AL.com.
West was married and worked as an adult model, who went by the moniker Kitty Kat West, on her own subscription-based website, according to AL.com. Rumors about her death have been circulated around the tiny town. Calera has a population of 3,158. Police have not revealed whether or not her career had anything to do with her murder. It is still an open investigation.
West’s death has been ruled a homicide but police have not revealed exactly how she was murdered yet. A witness reported seeing her wearing only a sports bra and bleeding from her head. No arrests have been made.
Her neighbor Xavier Lee showed ABC13 the stain in the road, the visible aftermath of West’s killing. Lee feels horrible about the impact that West’s death will have on her family.
"This child doesn't have her mother anymore, don't know why. Don't know what happened that led up to the incident, but to wake up to that type of news, it makes you think," he said.
West leaves behind her husband, a campus officer, and 12-year-old daughter.
Her mother put out the following statement:
"It seems so impossible for the extreme sadness and grief we feel as the loss of our beautiful daughter Kat to ever diminish or decease however, the Lord is our hope and our salvation, and he can turn our mourning into comfort. God wants to encourage us and relieve our suffering if we will just go to him at all times. And his word is powerful enough to bring healing and solace even during our darkest hours.
My family asks for your prayers and support in our time of loss. My beautiful daughter Kat was not just my daughter but a cherished wife to Jeff, as well as a loving mother to their daughter. So much negativity is out there, but with God all I see and hear is the goodness of my Kat. My family and I ask for help in the services to lay our daughter to rest with the good Lord, to where she will be guiding her daughter and husband through this. If you're not able to make a donation we ask for prayers."
A fundraiser has been started to help with West's family.
