  1. When did you know you wanted to become a Sex Educator?
I was running a birth control clinic for high school kids when I realized that they were doing it but didn't know what they were doing. I decided I wanted to teach sex and sexuality. I went to college and got credit to teach in high schools and universities as a nurse.
  2. What's the most common question you get asked on the show?
It depends on the age of the caller. Young males want to know how to make their penises bigger. Young females want to know "when is the safe period and does sex hurt?" Mature people want to know how to reach orgasm. Males want to know about anal sex. Older people want to know how to perform oral sex well.
  3. What advice would you give someone who was interested in becoming a sex educator?
Go to college and get a degree in social work or psychology and volunteer with Planned Parenthood. Definitely take a Sexual Education course.
  4. What's your favorite prop that you've talked about on the show?
Fukuoku - little finger vibrator that's not for penetration, only penile, clitoral and external vaginal stimulation.
  5. Do you get recognized on the street?
I get recognized everywhere: at the airport, on the street, in grocery stores! In both Canada and the U.S. My voice is distinctive, people recognize my voice first. It's wonderful to meet fans, I am so flattered. People KILL for 10 mins of fame - I have it ALL the time!
  6. What was your major in college?
I'm a Registered Nurse, so I went through nurse's training, not college.
  7. Is there anywhere you'd like to visit to inform about sexual health that you haven't been to yet?
Prision, working with inmates. I done it before in Canada and I would love to do it in the states as well.
  8. What current projects are you working on?
I'm working with Dr. Marty Klien to expand Sexual Education programs into the U.S.
  9. If you weren't a sex educator what would you like to be?
I would be a doctor, a gynecologistnot... an obstetrician. I can't be bothered with babies in the middle of the night.
  10. Besides the condom, what do you think is the best addition to the sexual revolution?
Giving women permission to say, "No, not tonight".
  11. Professionally, what is your biggest accomplishment?
In 2001, I received the Order of Canada. It's the equivalent to being Knighted in England.
  12. Is it true that men are in their sexual prime at 17, while women are in their prime at 30?
I don't agree... I think we are sexual the minute we are born and are until we die. It changes, we are not forever horny. The only reason they say women reach prime at 30 is because it takes that long to be comfortable with our bodies…to let go and enjoy without being labeled a "slut".
  13. Have you ever received a question that made even you blush?
Years ago, the first question I got about anal sex in a high school from a sixth grade boy. I never had the question before. The first reaction was to tighten up and go straight into medical talk so I could be comfortable talking about it - this did not last long. Anal sex today is what blow jobs were years ago.
