CAPTURED UNSOLVED 123
DEBORAH MCKNEELY, 39
Deborah McKneely was on the verge of a new beginning in her life, and was in the process of getting a divorce from her husband. Then, on January 29th, 1991, Deborah vanished. That morning, she had seen her children off to school, but she wasn't there when they came home. Upon reports of her disappearance, detectives were able to determine that between 7:30 and 4:45 that day, someone had kicked in the back door of Deborah's home and broken a window pane in her garage. Investigators found blood in the house and garage area, but no sign of Deborah.
CASE NOTES
Nothing was taken from the home.
The next day, investigators found Deborah's SUV in DeKalb County, Georgia. There was blood inside.
The keys and cash were in plain view inside the SUV.
Detectives believe at least two people were involved in Deborah's disappearance.
An unidentified white pickup truck was spotted in her neighborhood prior to her disappearance, but it's not known if that truck is connected to the case.
Deborah has never been found; a court has declared her legally dead.
Detectives say there is no reason to believe this was a random attack.
