CAPTURED UNSOLVED 122
JODY LECORNU, 23

By 1996, 23-year-old Jody LeCornu had worked her way through college and was just months away from graduating from Towson State University. But, she would never make it to graduation. On the evening of March 2, after going out with friends, Jody drove into a shopping center parking lot near her home in Baltimore County, Maryland. While she was still sitting in the car, she was shot in the back. Jody managed to drive across the street to another parking lot before collapsing. The killer followed her across the street in his white BMW. Witnesses reported seeing a man reach into Jody's car and remove an unknown item.

CASE NOTES

Police believe robbery was the motive, and aren't sure if Jody had pulled into the shopping center parking lot to go to the ATM.

When police got to the scene, Jody's purse was missing.

Jody was the daughter of an assistant state's attorney. Police do not believe her father's work had anything to do with Jody's murder.

Police say they have no motive and no suspects.

Witnesses could give only a vague description of the man seen taking something from Jody's car.

There is a reward of up to $2,000 for information on this case.
